•Air Movement and Control Association International Inc.(AMCA) was granted ISO 17025 accreditation by theAmerican Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to perform the following air movement and control tests on weather louvers: AMCA 540 (impact) and AMCA 500-L (wind-driven rain).

• Air Conditioning Contractors of America – Ohio (ACCA Ohio) named Roger Gundlach, president of Gundlach Sheet Metal Works (Sandusky, Ohio), as 2012-2013 president.

• BOCES 2 Center for Workforce Development (Rochester, N.Y.) was named an official online testing site for the ESCO Institute (Mount Prospect, Ill.).

• HVAC Excellence (Mount Prospect, Ill.) conferred certified master HVACR educator status to Lincoln College of Technology (Grand Prairie, Texas) instructors Stephen White, Frank Kendall, Richard Ehrhardt, and Jorge Tovar; and Charter College (Paso, Wash.) teacher Bruce Pritchard.

• Air-Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) launched an online directory of AHRI-certified forced circulation air cooling and air heating coils. The AHRI certification program tests this equipment to AHRI Standard 410-2001 with Addendum 3.

• American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) opened registration for its 2012 annual conference, scheduled for June 23-27 in San Antonio.
