ATLANTA — Bitzer U.S. Inc. recently broke ground on its new 95,000-square-foot manufacturing plant, located adjacent to its current factory in Oakwood, Ga., just north of Atlanta. The $10 million plant will enable Bitzer to increase its production capacity to meet the growing market demand for high-efficiency air conditioning and refrigeration compressors. The expansion, which will be completed by year end, is expected to add an estimated 50 production personnel to Bitzer’s workforce. The plant will be Bitzer’s third U.S. factory, including its scroll compressor plant in Syracuse, N.Y.
