March 23, 2012: SMACNA’s HVAC Commissioning Manual Available for Public Review
SMACNA said its HVAC Systems Commissioning Manual is intended to cover the full range of HVAC equipment and systems typically found in commercial and institutional buildings. The manual provides an explanation of the reasons for commissioning as well as supplying guidance to contractors on how an effective HVAC systems commissioning process should be planned and carried out.
A review copy can be downloaded at SMACNA’s Technical Papers/Guidelines web page at www.smacna.org/technical/index.cfm?fuseaction=papers. Comments should be referenced by page, figure, or table numbers. On comments related to text, be sure to include the specific paragraph reference. The association noted that all comments should be specific and accompanied by suggestions for improvement; generalized commentary will not be considered.
