CHICAGO — Baltimore Aircoil Co. (BAC) announced the signing of an exclusive development agreement with WindTronics Inc., Muskegon, Mich., to utilize the company’s patented blade tip power system (BTPS) wind turbine technology in energy recovery applications for evaporative cooling equipment.
Through this agreement, BAC and WindTronics said they will jointly develop new state-of-the-art technologies to recover energy from otherwise wasted exhaust airflow from cooling towers, closed circuit cooling towers, and evaporative condensers in both new and existing installations.
