US Energy Group: Energy Monitoring and Control System
January 16, 2012
The USE Controller ECS is a robust energy monitoring and control system. According to the manufacturer, the new system — The Mini — is a scaled-down version of the company’s flagship model and is designed as an affordable alternative for smaller properties. The controller integrates data from both an outdoor sensor and strategically placed wireless indoor temperature sensors to cycle the boiler for optimum heating efficiency and building comfort. The controller integrates information from multiple sensors and meters and uses a proprietary algorithm to turn the boiler on for only as long as it takes to deliver exactly the right amount of heat. The USE Controller ECS integrates with the USE Manager, an online building management system that provides monitoring capability, visual presentation of building data, and an alerting system to draw attention to timely issues. A dedicated Internet connection is necessary.
