Course Description: The program is designed to acquaint attendees with the design and operation of heat pumps. The workshop begins with the basic refrigeration cycle, the concept of heat exchangers, and then the incorporation of reversing valves to support heat pump design. Defrost controls, troubleshooting techniques, normal service, and preventative maintenance are also covered. The course is intended for an audience of service, maintenance personnel, contractors, and residential installers. Attendees can earn eight continuing education unit (CEU) credits for Kentucky Journeyman Licenses.
