presenting checkARLINGTON, Va. — A long-time employee of Centex Mechanical Inc. lost his home and car in the massive wildfire that engulfed Bastrop, Texas. The Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s (ACCA) Disaster Relief Committee learned about this and immediately worked to provide aid to Jerry Rich and his family.

On Sept. 16, Stan Johnson Jr., ACCA former board chairman and retired president of Stan’s Heating & Air Conditioning of Austin, Texas, met with Jerry Rich and his wife, Melanie K. Rich, at Centex Mechanical Inc. and presented them with ACCA Disaster Relief aid. Also on hand for the presentation was Todd McAlister, Texas ACCA chapter executive, who alerted the committee to the tremendous loss the Riches experienced due to the wildfire.

“ACCA was grateful to be able to help one of its own in need after the devastating wildfire, and Jerry and Melanie greatly appreciated ACCA’s assistance,” said Stan Johnson Jr.
