The spiral ducts are Air Movement and Control Association International (AMCA) certified for air leakage and licensed to bear the AMCA seal, which provides third-party verification that the manufacturer’s spiral ductwork will perform the same every time. According to the manufacturer, it can provide spiral ductwork with its Eastern Tight™ self-sealing system, available up to 36 inches in diameter. The self-sealing system eliminates joint sealing in the field and features a triple-lipped EPDM rubber gasket that provides an independently tested high-performance Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) leakage class 3 rating at pressures from 2- to 10-inches wg and temperatures of –20° to 212°F.
