NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — Bacharach Inc. announced that it has acquired Murco Limited, a privately-held manufacturer of fixed gas detection solutions. Further financial terms were not disclosed.
“We are excited about the synergy between Bacharach and Murco,” said Stacy Brovitz, president of Bacharach. “While both companies are strong players in their respective market space, there is little overlap between the current product portfolios, therefore broadening the product and service offering. Both companies are committed to identifying and implementing best practices in all areas of operations in order to serve customers better in an increasingly competitive marketplace. The motivation behind this transaction is simply to serve the customers of both companies better.”
Dr. Lorcan Maher, Ph.D., managing director of Murco, said, “I am pleased that our partnership with Bacharach provides a mutually beneficial solution for our customers of gas leak detection and gas monitoring instruments and systems. Expanded resources will provide our multinational customers with the benefits of more localized services and wider product offerings.”
According to Bacharach, the acquisition of Murco will significantly strengthen the company’s ability to provide the best solutions to the worldwide market for fixed and portable gas detection instrumentation.
