IRVINE, Calif. - Bosch Thermotechnology North America, a leading provider of water heating and comfort heating/cooling systems for homes and businesses, has announced the opening of a new Bosch Solutions Center in Irvine, Calif., for the training of HVAC professionals in its product technologies. The 3,000-square-foot facility will offer hands-on application training on Bosch tankless water heaters, solar thermal water heaters, Florida Heat Pump (FHP) geothermal heat pumps, and Buderus boilers.

“Geothermal and solar technologies are an essential component for sustainably addressing future residential and commercial energy needs. We are pleased to work with HVAC professionals and provide them hands-on training,” said Ervin Cash, president and CEO, Bosch Thermotechnology North America. “Not only will these professionals perform an excellent installation, they’ll often be very instrumental in consumer education. Our Solutions Centers are dedicated to providing the necessary practical and technical information to help the trade effectively drive the consumer adoption process.”

To comply with California’s strict water conservation codes, the center features a water reclamation system that will save up to 75,000 gallons of potable water per year.

“In Southern California where water conservation is critical, this is a huge accomplishment and we are pleased to contribute our support,” said Taylor Shaw, California Solutions Center manager and regional portfolio manager. “This closed-loop reclamation system includes a large storage unit, high-head pump and evaporative rooftop chillers that regulate temperatures for the center’s five tankless demo units used for training.”

Other features of the center include an 850-square-foot education classroom, a 1,200-square-foot solar thermal installation education center, and a 952-square-foot tankless water heater training and demonstration center.

The Irvine, Calif., location joins two other Bosch Solutions Centers operating in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Londonderry, N.H. - home to Bosch North America. For more information, visit www.boschthermotechnology.com.
