The HMS-1650L fume hood velocity controller series uses a dedicated face velocity flow sensor input, as well as a second input for truer readings with a high degree of reliability, says the company. It displays both numerical data as well as the general fume hood status via the unit’s background color. A glance informs users if the fume hood is in safe, warning, or alarm status, depending on whether the background is green, yellow, or red, respectively. The unit is capable of displaying face velocity, sash position, temperature, date, and time on a single screen, eliminating the need for most everyone to go beyond the main display. The HMS-1650L is suited for LON networks and can be deployed equally well as either a controller or a monitor.
