MONTCLAIR, N.J. - Global Ecology Corp. (GEC) announced that it is forming a subsidiary, CleanTower Technologies Inc., to focus on developing U.S. markets for its environmentally safe chemicals for use in cooling towers and boiler systems.

The chemicals are produced by GEC’s Canadian affiliate, EnvirEau Technologies Inc., and have been successfully tested for effectiveness in HVAC applications in two Asian countries, said the company.

GEC believes the size and scope of the U.S. HVAC chemical market will be best served by creating a separate entity. This new company will eventually include affiliates with the proper expertise and necessary accreditation to expedite these products through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registration process and establish distribution.

GEC CEO Peter Ubaldi said, “Our company has spent nearly two years in the planning stages for entry into the HVAC chemical marketplace. We’ve recently received the funding needed for our final step, which is to complete the EPA registration and conduct efficacy testing in actual field conditions. These two efforts will be conducted simultaneously and will likely take several months to complete.”
