Building information models (BIMs) using Revit® software from Autodesk® are available for the company’s complete line of fan coil units. Revit allows professionals to design with both parametric 3-D modeling and 2-D drafting elements. A component such as a boiler, piping header, or fan coil unit can be moved in any view, and all other views of the model will update automatically. Revit is a single- file database that can be shared among multiple users. Plans, sections, elevations, legends, and schedules are all interconnected so that when a user makes a change in one view, the other views are automatically revised. When designers working from the same project database make changes, a central database is automatically updated. The accurate, ready-made models of the fan coil units help to improve the speed and accuracy of building design, saving architects and engineers the time it would take them to create their own fan coil models to be incorporated into building designs.
