The Green Series air handlers use a revolutionary technology that make them more intelligent, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly, all while keeping the modular design intact, says the company. The series includes the S.M.A.R.T. (Software Managed Air Rate Technology) control board software that allows customized heating and cooling; contractors can adjust the settings for cfm (amount of airflow) and rpm of the motor, to meet the individual needs of the homeowner. According to the manufacturer, these settings were programmed at the factory until now, which allowed for very limited field adjustment. Also, the air handlers feature an electronically commutated motor.
