FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Underwriters Laboratories (UL), which provides independent product safety certifications for manufacturers worldwide, has conducted a Data Acceptance Program (DAP) audit at Regal Beloit’s Fort Wayne, Ind., Development Lab facility and has granted the company’s laboratory Client Test Data Program (CTDP) certification.
CTDP certification means that the laboratory is UL certified to run most motor and sealed tube tests in-house, rather than having those tests performed at another CTDP laboratory. Regal Beloit is one of the first CTDP laboratories to test ECM motors.
According to the company, this certification will assist in reducing both the expense and cycle time involved in introducing new products.
