June 13, 2008: Nordyne Adds Surcharge to Compensate for Fuel, Material Prices
ST. LOUIS - Effective July 1, 2008, Nordyne is implementing a price increase through a surcharge process. A result of highly volatile steel, copper, and aluminum costs along with escalating fuel prices, the surcharge will allow the company to pass along a portion of those costs without initiating a permanent price increase.
The company will perform monthly evaluations of the cost changes and their impact to determine future increases or decreases to the surcharges. Long-standing surcharges will be periodically reviewed and rolled into future price changes.
The July 1 surcharge announcement increases prices based on product family for coils, condensers, and package systems by $4, $8, and $12 respectively.
