The phaseout for R-22 is picking up speed, and supply may be dramatically reduced by Jan. 1, 2010. In evaluating the options for R-22, DuPont Isceon Refrigerants wants to assist HVACR instructors.

Nick Strickland, market development manager for DuPont Refrigerants, will be discussing the planning needed for changes in refrigeration during the HVAC Excellence National HVAC Educators and Trainers Conference. Strickland is scheduled to speak on March 18, upon completion of Cindy Newberg’s presentation. Newberg is the lead analyst for domestic implementation of the HCFC phaseout at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The National HVACR Educators and Trainers Conference will be held March 16-19 at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Las Vegas. This year’s conference includes high-profile speakers from DuPont, EPA, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Johnson Controls, Goodman Manufacturing, and Toshiba Motors.
