A new, bend-and-stay type of flexible plastic duct features an interlocking construction. According to the manufacturer, Pliaduct® is a 100 percent rigid, self-supporting PVC duct with a ribbon-lock construction that lets users expand the diameter up to 25 percent by twisting it, using both hands, to fit nozzles, funnels, or fittings. The flame-retardant duct may be reshaped and spliced together without tools and stays in place once bent. Suitable for a wide range of permanent or temporary installations, it is offered with plain ends in 2- to 6-inch diameter sizes in standard 25-foot lengths, and 8- to 12-inch diameter sizes in 10-foot lengths. This gray PVC duct is chemical-resistant and operates from -10° to 150°F; white is optional. For applications up to 225°, polypropylene is also available.
