The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) President, Richard Cramer, presented a $5,000 check to Kelly O’Shaughnessy (left) and Paula Puppel (right) of the Shade Tree Shelter of Las Vegas, at the president’s lunch during SMACNA’s annual convention. The Shade Tree is an independent, nonprofit agency that provides 24-hour emergency shelter care for women and children in crisis situations. With 364 permanent beds and 50 temporary beds, it is the largest shelter of its kind in Nevada.
