FORT SMITH, Ark. - Ruud management announced that it has committed all necessary resources to ensuring a smooth transition for Ruud dealers following the Dec. 7, 2007 announcement that long-time Ruud distributor, the Noland Co., had decided to no longer represent the Ruud heating and cooling product line.

Ruud said it remains fully committed to independent distribution and is working to put in place reliable new Ruud distribution with full sales and service capabilities in markets impacted by the Noland decision. Ruud management’s primary goal is to ensure that Noland’s decision has little-to-no impact on daily Ruud contractor operations or their ability to continue with reliable sales and service to their customers.

Vice president and general manager of the Ruud Air Conditioning Division, Bill Hanesworth, communicated with Ruud dealers telling them that Ruud remains “fully committed to the support of our contractor network. We recognize that establishing strong, lasting partnerships is a market-winning formula and will consistently produce successful results.”

Ruud has established a special toll-free Ruud Customer Assistance Hotline to answer questions, provide service support, and even source Ruud products, should immediate local availability be a problem. A Ruud contractor “Transition Team” has been assembled to provide Ruud contractors with prioritized assistance.

Ruud contractors are invited to call the special Ruud Customer Assistance Hotline at 800-577-3960 for any assistance they may need with product, support, or service information.
