The SolarVenti dehumidifier ventilates, warms, and dehumidifies, effectively removing moisture and refreshing the air in the building with warm, dry air. The solar-powered unit doesn’t require electrical input or any operating costs. Also, it has no parts that can leak or cause damage while the homeowner is away, says the company. It is available in five models to accommodate different size requirements, for spaces of 250 square feet and up, including some entire houses. If a house is too large for a single unit to serve, more than one SolarVenti can be installed. The unit’s fan has a capacity of approximately 900-4,300 cubic feet per hour. According to the manufacturer, it is ideal for summer homes, garages, attics, and other buildings that stand unoccupied for periods of time. It qualifies for a federal government tax credit.
