NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. - Bacharach Inc. donated one of its fully equipped Nitrous Oxide Monitor analyzers to Mercy Ships.

This organization consists of two ocean liners, the Anastasis and Africa Mercy, that assist civilians with various health care needs.

By operating essentially on volunteer efforts and donations, these ships sail around the globe and perform life-changing surgeries, such as: cleft palette/cleft lip operations, strabismus, and orthopedic procedures, along with several types of reconstructive surgeries.

However, due to the high risk involved with ocean-board operating procedures, the nonprofit organization has recognized the crucial need to monitor the anesthetic gases on board their newest vessel, Africa Mercy. Bacharach’s donated analyzer will aid them in the daily monitoring of all of the operating rooms aboard.
