Oct. 10, 2007: Johnson Controls Finalizes Agreement With US Airconditioning Distributors
MILWAUKEE - Johnson Controls Inc. announced that it has finalized
its distribution agreement with US Airconditioning Distributors Inc. In June,
the companies announced their intent to enter into an agreement for the
distribution of residential and light-commercial products to dealers in
Southern California, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, and certain parts of Nevada.
“This arrangement reaffirms Johnson Controls’ commitment to independent distribution for its residential and light-commercial products,” said C. David Myers, president of the building efficiency business of Johnson Controls. “This further strengthens our ability to supply York®-branded products in the Western region of the United States.”
US Airconditioning, headquartered in the Los Angeles area, is one of the world’s largest privately owned HVAC distributors. The company provides HVAC products for both residential and commercial customers, including equipment, parts, and supplies.
“This is a natural combination that provides our dealers with a diversified, high-quality product line and ensure we are aligned with an organization committed to applying the resources necessary for continued growth,” said John Staples, president of US Airconditioning.
US Airconditioning has terminated its distributor relationship with Carrier Corp. in the affected territories and no longer supplies its product lines.
