NORMAN, Okla. - The Luxaire® brand of Johnson Controls presented a check in the amount of $12,707 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Oklahoma. The check, which was presented prior to the start of a hockey game between the Oklahoma City Blazers and the Wichita Thunder, represents the proceeds of live and silent auctions held during a Blazers “Throwback” uniform night in February.

At that game, the team was decked out in white, black, and gold throwback uniforms dating from the 1992-93 season while the current Blazers’ team uniforms were being bid on during a silent auction. At a live auction following the game, the 15 greatest players in Blazers’ team history were introduced and honored by the auctioning of their game jerseys. The proceeds from both auctions totaled $12,707 for the children of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oklahoma.

“The partnership between Make-A-Wish Foundation and Luxaire brings a lot of pride to our organization and our contributing dealers because our efforts make a significant difference in the communities where our people live and work,” said Tim Lashar, Luxaire brand manager for Johnson Controls. “Special children are benefiting from the contributions and that’s important to our organization. The partnership with Make-A-Wish also fosters teamwork and pride and offers customers another reason to purchase the Luxaire brand.”
