KENNESAW, Ga. - Automated Logic Corp. (ALC), a unit of United Technologies Corp., acquired the business of Automated Control Technologies Inc. (ACT), an ALC dealer serving the greater Chicago marketplace. "This acquisition is a continuation of our strategy to develop factory-owned ALC branches and a critical step in the growth of our Chicago operations," said Gerry Hull, ALC president. "ACT has been a valued business partner of ALC for 15 years, and its addition positions us well for growth and delivery of world-class service in the Chicago marketplace."

Greg Franzo, ACT CEO, and the firm's management team and employees will continue in their respective roles under ALC ownership. "This is a very exciting change for all of us at ACT," said Franzo. "As part of ALC, we look forward to bringing ‘factory direct' resources and services to our customers and new growth opportunities for our employees."
