The company has expanded its offerings of press-to-connect copper fittings, valves, and associated tools. Designed for potable water, mechanical HVAC, and process water applications, the Press System™ offers an alternative to traditional solder and grooved joinery methods. The system consists of 1/2 - to 4-inch fittings; a lineup of 1/2 - to 2-inch gate, globe, check, angle, and ball valves with standard valve handle options; and 2-1/2 - to 4-inch butterfly valves. The system is designed to be joined with pressing tools, jaws, and chains. This flame-free method requires no flux, solder, or other joining material, providing distinct time-saving advantages over soldering or brazing, according to the manufacturer. The press-to-connect copper joinery system features copper and dezincification-resistant brass alloy, and EPDM O-ring seals for use with K, L, and M wall copper tube.
