CAROL STREAM, Ill. - Invensys Controls announced a new program that offers its HVACR distributors a free FireX® House Display to help boost their sales of FireX duct smoke detectors and accessories. The display is a 22-square-inch wide, 43-inch-tall pallet, featuring three shelves and full-color graphics, including faux wood grain finish, a shingled roof, and a "chimney" product literature display that will house the new FireX products.

"We have upgraded our FireX duct smoke detectors with customer-driven features that reduce mechanical installation time up to 40 percent, compared to current units on the market," said Tim Butler, marketing director, HVAC Wholesale. "FireX duct smoke detectors provide early detection of smoke and products of combustion present in air moving through an HVAC duct."

After ordering the specified minimum quantity of detectors, distributors will receive the display simultaneously with their ordered products. The FireX sales team will assist distributors with display set up and stocking.

In addition to providing an attention-getting way to display products, the program is also designed to help distributors maintain adequate inventory. "FireX is the choice of professional contractors," said Butler. "This display program will help ensure that the products they need will be in-stock and easy to find."

The display program is open to all HVACR distributors in the U.S. and Canada through March 30, 2007, or while display quantities are available. Both English and French language displays are available. Distributors can contact their FireX account manager to qualify for the program.

The FireX House Display program is the latest in a series of special initiatives in Invensys Controls' Safety segment. In July, the company announced a $6.7 million investment in its FireX and Monox® brands, providing funds for capital improvements, a sizeable buildup of inventory, and a doubling of engineering staff.
