AUSTIN, TX — Les Mathiews is in select company. The a/c repairman is one of the few “common folk” to make President Bush’s Christmas card list.
According to a story in U.S. News & World Report, the Austin, TX repairman worked on the air conditioning systems at the governor’s mansion and the State House when Bush was there. Mathiews’ wife, Marta was quoted as saying, “I could understand if Les was a politician, but we’re just working people. We’re framing it.”
