The National Restaurant Association launched a Web log, or blog, for Hurricane Katrina news and information at www.restaurant.org/katrina. The blog, which is being updated each day, contains informational resources for restaurant operators, as well as news and updates on how restaurants have been affected and what they are doing to aid relief efforts.

The "Restaurants Respond" blog will help spread the word about major fundraising efforts, employers trying to contact employees, and personal accounts of restaurateurs affected by the devastation.
