YORK, PA — Hvac equipment maker York International Corp. said it would close a compressor assembly plant in Sparta, North Carolina, affecting 450 jobs.
The facility is part of the Bristol Compressors operations, and its closure is related to a previously announced cost-cutting program, the company said in a statement.
