Jose O. Pineda is a licensed professional engineer with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), and has over 10 years of mechanical design experience. He is the lead mechanical engineer for LADWP, power system facilities engineering. His experience includes HVAC systems, fire protection, and plumbing systems for electrical substations, power generating stations, and office buildings. He is responsible for mechanical designs from inception to completion which includes system design, project management, procurement of equipment and materials, construction support, and commissioning.
Code and regulations require that LEL concentration of hydrogen (H2) be limited to 25% of LEL or 1% of room volume. The room ventilation method can be either forced or natural and either air conditioned or unconditioned.
