Electricity Demand Likely to Drop by 15 Percent

A survey of 50 energy experts released by economists at The Brattle Group reported that energy efficiency is likely to cause a drop of 5 to 15 percent in U.S. electricity consumption by the year 2020, relative to forecast trends.

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has announced that its Architecture Billings Index (ABI) has now reached positive territory three months in a row. As a leading economic indicator of construction activity, the ABI reflects the approximate nine to 12 month lag time between architecture billings and construction spending.
