The Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH) executive/finance committee recently hosted a special dinner with the CIPH Atlantic Region and CIPH Newfoundland Region board of directors. The dinner included the presentation of several awards.
During a campaign to update its members’ contact information, the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) held a random drawing of all the participants for a chance to win a 32-inch, liquid-crystal display, high-definition television. Maurice Pickett of the RSES Central Kentucky Chapter was the winner.

The Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention Act of 2010 (SB 183) has been signed into law by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. SB 183 requires existing homes and dwelling units to be outfitted with carbon monoxide (CO) alarms, beginning in July 2011.
