Emerson Climate Technologies and its parent
company, Emerson, are making a $1 million investment in the University of
Dayton’s Product Innovation Laboratory in the School of Engineering. The
company said this contribution is a continuation of its history of investing in
higher education.
The
Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada’s (HRAI’s)
annual statistics forecast for 2008 projects that shipments of
residential and commercial air conditioning units will increase by 2 percent
while residential furnace shipments will decrease by 2 percent compared to the
projected 2007 figures.
