How do we get more women into the HVACR industry?
While that is an important question that needs to get answered, it is also true that the HVACR industry has many great women doing great things. Here at The ACHR NEWS, we make it a priority to highlight these individuals each year with the Top Women in HVAC list.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 2% of HVACR employees are women. That is a tiny fraction of the industry, but that number is starting to grow as more women are beginning to see the benefits of pursuing a career in HVACR.
The growing number was evident by the amount of nominations that were submitted for this year’s Top Women in HVAC list. We received more than 450 nominations, so the choice of who to put on the list was difficult.
Below are the best and the brightest women in the HVACR industry. All of these women have made a mark on the HVAC industry and continue to do so. While they serve in different areas of the industry, each is making a contribution to both improve the industry and make it a more welcoming career for females.
