The Wrench Group Acquires Florida Cool Inc.
Acquisition expands footprint in the Southwest Florida market
MARIETTA, Ga. — The Wrench Group (“Wrench”) announced the acquisition of Florida Cool Inc. (“Florida Cool”), expanding its footprint in the Southwest Florida market.
Florida Cool has been locally owned and operated by Tom Caprio since 1992.
“The Southwest Florida market is experiencing significant growth and the acquisition of Florida Cool strengthens and accelerates our growth,” said Ken Haines, CEO, The Wrench Group.
“The Florida Cool team is thrilled to be joining The Wrench Group, an organization which shares the same dedication to its employees and customers,” said Tom Caprio, president, Florida Cool. “We look forward to partnering with the team on the next phase of our growth and success.”
Florida Cool will be combining its operations with CoolToday, headquartered in Sarasota, Florida. CoolToday, serving Sarasota and the surrounding areas since 1963, was acquired by The Wrench Group in April 2019, and has quickly expanded its service offerings to the Tampa and St. Pete area.
“Through our combined leadership and operational success, Tom and I are excited about delivering the highest level of quality and service to customers,” said Jaime DiDomenico, CoolToday president. DiDomenico and Caprio will be working together to combine brand names in the coming months. Caprio will continue to manage the Naples operation as market president.
