Description: This product features a 11/8-inch deep cavity for holding a standard steel strut. When mechanically fastening the strut into place, bolts or screws pass through the side of the head into the metal strut. The new design features a flat surface instead of the previous curved design, resulting in easier installation and a tighter fit between screw and head. In areas where hurricanes or seismic activity are present, mechanical fastening is often required to secure installations. A secure installation can be achieved without bolts or screws by using Green Link Adhesive/Sealant to bond the metal channel to the molded nylon surface of the KnuckleHead. With shear strength of up to 275 psi, the sealant can replace mechanical fasteners, making for easier installation.
