WASHINGTON — The American Public Gas Association (APGA) filed a motion with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit asking the court to reconsider its May 1 order, which stayed enforcement of the regional furnace standards rule, but also asked the involved parties to re-brief the main issues.

The APGA motion asks the court to instead grant the joint Department of Energy/APGA motion to vacate the standards, and to deny the request by Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) to substitute as a petitioner.

If that reconsideration is denied, APGA requests that the court clarify the order such that if additional briefing is necessary, it is limited to supplemental briefs on procedural issues on which the May 1 order did not address.
