The SRL2 infrared refrigerant leak detector has both a visual and audible alarm when a CFC, HFC, HCFC or a blended refrigerant leak is detected. Three sensitivity levels adjust between low (1.0 ounce per year and higher), medium (0.5 ounces per year and higher), and high (0.1 ounces per year and higher). The detector doesn’t trigger on oil or moisture. According to the manufacturer, the infrared sensor is designed to last for many years without requiring replacement. Features include self-calibration for testing in contaminated environments, a nonconductive sensor arm, a magnetic hanger, and peak and mute buttons. A rechargeable, eight-hour lithium-ion polymer battery powers the unit. The instrument comes with a carrying case and wall- and car-charging units.
