The CrimpWrapâ„¢ crimped pipe and tank wrap is designed to insulate vessels and large-diameter pipes with service temperatures from 35 degrees to 850 degrees F (1.7 degrees to 454 degrees C). The product employs crimp technology that provides the thermal and compression properties found in rigid fiberglass board products, while remaining flexible enough to wrap pipes and vessels of various sizes, the company states. It is made from a continuous fiberglass blanket, which eliminates the potential for strip delamination common in traditional tank wrap during fabrication and installation, says the manufacturer. The product is available with either a foil-faced or white-faced kraft vapor retarder facing in 1- to 4-inch thicknesses.
