CFW-09 Vectrue™ drives offer volts/hertz, sensorless vector, and closed-loop vector control in one drive, the company says. To match the control mode to the application, select a parameter via the drive’s alphanumeric keypad. These drives feature the company’s Optimal Braking™ technology, which provides greatly increased braking torque, compared with conventional DC braking, and, in many applications, it eliminates the need for dynamic braking and its associated DB resistors, claims the manufacturer. The line extends from 1-1/2 to 500 hp, and a total of three units can be connected in parallel to serve motors up to 1,500 hp. It can display messages on its 16-character LCD in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
