CENTERVILLE, Ohio — The Building Performance Institute Inc. (BPI) and Aeroseal LLC have announced a strategic partnership to offer BPI GoldStar Contractor program participation to Aeroseal dealers, and to provide Aeroseal’s Comfort Institute home performance training to BPI GoldStar Contractors. The organizations said the partnership strengthens access to best practices in home performance standards and technologies for both parties’ HVAC and home performance contractors.

As a result of the partnership, Aeroseal will offer its dealers access to BPI’s GoldStar Contractor program, while its home performance training subsidiary, Comfort Institute, will assist dealers in meeting training and certification requirements needed to join the BPI program. BPI GoldStar Contractors will benefit from the alliance through expanded training opportunities and access to some of the latest home performance solutions, including Aeroseal’s aerosol-based duct sealing technology.

“Aeroseal’s expertise in developing duct sealing technologies is closely aligned with our house-as-a-system approach to home performance, so this partnership is a natural step for us,” said Larry Zarker, BPI CEO. “Working together, our organizations will be able to offer the technologies, training, business mentorship, and services that today’s contractors need to excel in the expanding home performance marketplace.”

“The BPI GoldStar credential represents the highest standard of work in home performance contracting, while Aeroseal duct sealing technology and Comfort Institute training are proving pivotal to ensuring industry best practices,” said Amit Gupta, CEO, Aeroseal LLC. “Together, we now offer the full package — for contractors looking to grow their businesses, and homeowners seeking the best, most cost-effective way to maximize energy efficiency, comfort, and indoor air quality for their homes.”
