Firetemp® CE is a new endothermic firestopping caulk. In addition to being an excellent firestopping material, the caulk also restores the acoustic performance of penetrations and joint systems, says the company. As with its intumescent caulk and intumescent spray, the endothermic caulk has been thoroughly tested for compatibility within the building’s envelope, the company says. It has also passed corrosion testing and does not support microbial growth, says the manufacturer.
