Energy Bill Could Generate More Work for Contractors
The Energy Bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives included provisions that could create new projects for contractors, according to the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA). One of those provisions gives tax deductions to those who install energy-efficient commercial building property in new construction or for a reconstruction project. Contractors can also take advantage of sections that would expand energy performance contracting for the federal government.
