According to the manufacturer, this product does not focus the lightning energy at any one point in the gas line; the energy is spread out over a much larger area, instead. This feature minimizes the probability for a breach, thereby reducing the potential for a fire or an explosion, the company states. Four different sizes are available: 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 inch. Reel length sizes are available from 100 to 250 feet.
