The Powerfoil fan is a high-volume, low-speed fan. According to the company, this fan provides 35 percent more cubic feet per minute (cfm) of air than even the company's Wickerbill Airfoil fan. Maximized to operate at lower revolutions per minute, the fan produces more air movement cfm per watt than any fan offered, claims the manufacturer. In the summer, this fan can be sped up to produce 332,000 cfm to lower the effective temperature in warehouses, plants, and commercial facilities. In winter, it can be used to destratify the air.
