The i-Bean 5000 enables low-power, low-data-rate wireless sensing for heating, refrigeration, and other applications. According to the company, the sensors leverage a portfolio of radio technologies and form self-organizing wireless networks, enabling communication between sensors or other control devices. The i-Beans are self-contained miniature computers with a built-in power source, flash memory, and peripheral devices, including a digital I/O interface, and a radio frequency transceiver for two-way communication.
