PocketControls is a system that allows building operators to receive data from and send commands to an energy management system (EMS). The system can be controlled remotely from a handheld Pocket PC. Alarm, operator, emergency, failed point, disabled point, and failed cabinet are the types of reports that can be reviewed on the Pocket PC. According to the manufacturer, PocketControls is a turnkey system that consists of wireless cellular communication, a handheld Hewlett-Packard Pocket PC, a site server tied into your control network installation, technical support, and training. For security purposes, it has an automatic lock and is authentication capable.
