Bulletin KA-294 is available on Type DP8 pleated panel filter, which has a MERV 8 rating. The filter has proprietary media and is composed of 100% synthetic fibers enhanced with an electrostatic charge to increase efficiency on smaller particles (1 micron and tinier). Per ASHRAE Standard 52.1, the media provides 30% to 35% dust spot efficiency. The media is pleated with a galvanized steel expanded metal backing. The pleat pack is within a two-piece, die-cut frame made of high-wet-strength beverage board. The two-piece frame forms a double wall around the entire perimeter of the filter for extra strength. The pleat tips are bonded to diagonal support members on both sides of the filter at all points of contact.
