The Informant™ is a new, technologically sophisticated refrigerant leak detector. Utilizing microprocessor-controlled circuitry and a highly responsive, patented, heated diode sensor (2/10 of a second), the unit automatically detects the exact point of the leak, says the company. The instrument is quickly responsive to all types of refrigerants. Resetting or switching the unit to detect different refrigerants is unnecessary. The product also has the capability to focus on and isolate a leak source when high levels of background vapors or refrigerant are present.
